As of the 2020 United States census , the township's population was 19,980, [ 10 ] [ 11 ] an increase of 849 (+4.4%) from the 2010 census count of 19,131, [ 20 ] [ 21 ] which in turn reflected an increase of 0.3% from the 19,079 counted in the 2000 census .
