The Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) is an NCAA skiing-only conference. As the NCAA does not have divisions in skiing, it is composed of NCAA Division I, Division II, and Division III schools, as well as one community college. Members are located in Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. The conference is organized for Nordic skiing only.

The Committee for the Coordination of Statistical Activities (CCSA) [1] is composed of international and supranational organisations whose mandate includes the provision of statistics. The CCSA promotes inter-agency coordination and cooperation on statistical programmes and consistency in statistical practices and development.
SCSU also sponsors a women's Nordic skiing team through membership in the CCSA, as well as men's and women's Division I ice hockey teams that are members of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (men) and Western Collegiate Hockey Association (women). The teams go by the nickname Huskies, and the school's mascot is a husky named Blizzard. [3]
The USCSA sponsors alpine, nordic, freestyle skiing, and snowboarding competitions. Most of these programs are not in the NCAA and range in level of competitiveness. Some are sponsored by the school and are varsity programs, while others are club teams.
Another single-sport conference, the 43-member North East Collegiate Volleyball Association in men's volleyball, disbanded after the 2010–11 school year, following the NCAA's announcement that it would sponsor an official Division III championship for that sport beginning in 2011–12. [1]
