The Greendale High School marching band has been the Class AA State Champion for 18 consecutive years, from 2005 to 2023, [3] [4] and was selected to participate in the 2016 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City [5] as well as the 2020 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA.
After making unsuccessful overtures to Oconomowoc High School to leave the Little Ten Conference, the Suburban extended an invite to Greendale High School, and they joined the conference in 1952. [11] Port Washington and Watertown were also candidates for expansion but formed half of the new Braveland Conference in 1953.
In 2009 (after they had already been assigned a Tier I-strength schedule), the Warriors opted to move to Tier II. Though they had only finished 4-4 on the regular season, their team rating/strength of schedule (being the only Tier II team to pick up two wins against Tier I-both vs. the Minnesota Vixen), the Warriors wrapped up home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
The school has three bands, the Spartan, the Varsity and the Symphonic Band. Symphonic Band is an audition-only band that has toured in Colorado, Texas, Tennessee, Florida and Washington, D.C. [citation needed] Small ensembles include Jazz Band, Brass Choir, Flute Choir, Clarinet Choir, Woodwind Ensemble, Sax Choir and Pep Band.
Greendale School District is a public school district in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. The district serves more than 2,600 students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Greendale High School, Greendale Middle School, and three elementary schools (Canterbury, College Park, and Highland View) serve the district's students.
