Mocca was formed in 1997 by Arina Ephipania (vocals, flute) and Riko Prayitno (guitar), who met while studying at the National Institute of Technology. [3] In a 2004 interview with The Straits Times Ephipania said "Riko was influenced by rock music, I was fascinated by motion picture music and story telling, so we came up with this concept of telling stories in a musical form."
He is also actively writing and recording songs. One of his songs, I Stalk Your Profile, was distributed by Jaz through the video sharing site YouTube. Thanks to the video, Jaz was asked to appear at Anugerah Planet Muzik (APM) in 2013. APM is an award ceremony for musicians in Malay countries such as Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei. [6]

Jazz Goes To Campus (abbreviated as JGTC) is an annual jazz-themed musical event held in Faculty of Economics and Business University of Indonesia (FEB UI), which was initiated by the UI Faculty of Economics Students' Senate. This event has been held since 1977 and is claimed to be the oldest jazz festival in Indonesia.
