The name changed to Klim in 1999 as the company relocated to Idaho. Starting in 2005, the company began developing off-road motorcycle gear for the snowmobile off-season. Further, in 2009, the adventure motorcycling community was exploding; as such, the company used their knowledge of winter and off-road motorsports to develop rugged riding gear.

The KTM 300 is a series of 2-stroke enduro / off-road motorcycles made by KTM. They are the Penton-inspired 1984 300 GS, the 300 DMX, the dirt only 300 MXC, European road legal 300 EXC and the US 300 XC (close-ratio), 300 XC-W (wide-ratio gear box) and 300 SX (Motocross) versions. The KTM 300 is designed for difficult off-road conditions.
