rm deletes the file specified after options are added. Users can use a full path or a relative file path to specify the files to delete. rm doesn't delete a directory by default. [13] rm foo deletes the file "foo" in the directory the user is currently in. rm, like other commands, uses options to specify how it will behave:
update: Update the files in a working copy with the latest version from a repository; lock: Lock files in a repository from being changed by other users; add: Mark specified files to be added to repository at next commit; remove: Mark specified files to be removed at next commit (note: keeps cohesive revision history of before and at the remove.)
git add [file], which adds a file to git's working directory (files about to be committed). git commit -m [commit message], which commits the files from the current working directory (so they are now part of the repository's history). A .gitignore file may be created in a Git repository as a plain text file.
The primary task of gvfsd is to act as a mount tracker/manager. It spawns new back-ends when requested and keeps track of their lifecycle, maintaining a list of active mounts and creates direct connections to them. gvfsd also starts the gvfsd-fuse(1), and provides it the mount point where the fuse file system should be mounted. gvfsd-fuse

File managers also provide a convenient way of deleting files. Files may be deleted one-by-one, or a whole ...
Unity Version Control is a client/server system although in current terms of version control it can also be defined as a distributed revision control system, due to its ability to have very lightweight servers on the developer computer and push and pull branches between servers (similar to what Git and Mercurial do).
When a directory's sticky bit is set, the filesystem treats the files in such directories in a special way so only the file's owner, the directory's owner, or root can rename or delete the file. Without the sticky bit set, any user with write and execute permissions for the directory can rename or delete contained files, regardless of the file ...
git pull fetches remote changes into the local clone, and merges them into the current working files. git checkout replaces the current working files with files from a branch. git checkout --track creates a local branch from a remote branch, links them, and replaces the current working files with files from that branch. git fetch
