Pluto is Japanese eight-episode original net animation (ONA) produced by Genco with animation production services by Studio M2. Written by Heisuke Yamashita and Tatsurou Inamoto, it is based on the Pluto: Urasawa × Tezuka manga series by Naoki Urasawa and Takashi Nagasaki, in-turn based on the story arc "The Greatest Robot on Earth" from Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy.
Clyde William Tombaugh (/ ˈtɒmbaʊ /; February 4, 1906 – January 17, 1997) was an American astronomer. He discovered the ninth planet Pluto in 1930, the first object to be discovered in what would later be identified as the Kuiper belt.
