The Sheboygan County Historical Museum is located on the grounds of Taylor Park in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on the city's west side.. The current Taylor County Courthouse, built in 1914, is a Neoclassical-styled three-story building with a metal-clad dome, located in Medford, Wisconsin. [1] It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. [2] It was preceded by a courthouse built in 1876 on the same site.

The state of Wisconsin has jurisdiction over 120 miles (190 km) of state highways in Taylor County, including STH-13, STH-64, STH-73, STH-97, and STH-102. STH-13 runs north–south through the eastern half of the county and STH-73 is the major north–south highway in the western half of the county.

When Taylor County was formed in 1875, the land that would become Greenwood was part of a larger Town of Chelsea, which spanned the county east to west. In 1895 Greenwood was split off as its own town. [11] St Anne's was once part of a rural crossroads community. Now the church and cemetery are on the National Register of Historic Places.
