Main Event was founded in 1998 by Neil Hupfauer and David Smith. The company became a subsidiary of Ardent Leisure in 2006 before its acquisition by competitor Dave & Buster’s in June 2022. The arena was designed by the 2015 Driehaus Prize winner David M. Schwarz [3] and is owned by Fort Worth and managed by the not-for-profit Multipurpose Arena Fort Worth (MAFW). It hosts concerts, sporting events, and family entertainment, and serves as the home of the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.
