Quảng Ngãi (listen ⓘ) is a city in central Vietnam. It serves as the capital city of Quảng Ngãi Province. Quảng Ngãi City borders Tư Nghĩa District to the South and West, Sơn Tịnh District to the Northwest and Bình Sơn District to the North. It has an area of 160,15 km² and population of 278.496 inhabitants.
The event is referred to as the Mỹ Lai Massacre in the United States and the Sơn Mỹ Massacre in Vietnam. [3] The memorial includes a museum and a large monument honoring the hundreds of civilians killed by American troops. It is located at the site of the massacre in Quảng Ngãi Province and includes the remains of the village of Sơn Mỹ.
National Route 9 (Vietnamese: Quốc lộ 9 (or abbrv.QL9) or Đường 9) runs across Vietnam roughly in line with the 17th Parallel.The route includes two segments.
