Instead they launch in a fullscreen window with the top bar with minimize, restore down, and exit button. The bottom portion of the screen is under my windows taskbar. I've tried Alt-tab, Alt-Enter, Alt-Esc, etc.. and none of those solutions work.

If you had changed your install location in Origin, I would just be sure to do the same after launching the EA app by clicking the menu option in the top-left ...

If you purchased the DLC through Origin, you may not be able to access it through the old Bioware social site (I owned the game before Origin was a thing, so this was never an issue for me), so again you will have to install it through Origin.
The problems vary a bit between games, but seem to be indicative of similiar causes. As follows: Apex Legends - Stuttering and choppy. Sound quality is filled with static. Changing graphics settings makes no difference, and FPS is between 30-50 on both lowest and highest settings. Pillars of Eternity - A slight stutter every second or so.
Uninstall the EA app, go to Techspot and download the origin installer. Worked for me, I wasn't able to launch BF2024 due to the app crashing. Shame on EA really. Wow, so sorry, I didn't see either of your replies until just now!
