  2. Mexican quality vs Japanese quality? : r/mazda - Reddit

Viva La Mexican Mazda! The quality is exactly the same. Everything is built to the same specification, and Mexico is an established hub for auto manufacturing. Depending on the particular model, you won't have a choice of factory location, anyway. So recently I bought a 2014 Mazda 3 GS for $5500 CAD.

There is a difference at least with the type of car battery that's compatible, which is telling. For example, a 2020 Mazda 3 built in Japan with a 2.5 liter engine requires a Group Size 35 while the Mexico equivalent requires a Group Size H5 battery. 1. Reply. A lot of people claim there is no difference between the Japan or Mexico built Mazda ...

The 2017+ CX-5 represents a different philosophy/mindset in build quality and design from the 2018+ Mazda3. The 2017+ CX-5 is where Mazda made the buttons and inputs around the interior space to mimic that of a luxury car. Double pane front windows, sound deadening in the wheel wells and undercarriage etc.

Anyways there's a Mazda KL-DE (2.5L V6 manufactured by Mazda) that was used in the MX-6, Millenia, and 626. There's a JDM 2.5L, KL-ZE, version that makes more power. Some people have swapped these motors into their Miatas.

Honestly, it’s hard to get any car made in Japan anymore. Mazda is a big exception. And with the current lineup Mazda has a bright future. Too bad there are so many SUVs offered. We need a Mazda 6, at least one more sports car and definitely a Mazda 3 2-door. Oh and don’t forget a bunch of manual offerings. My next vehicle will be a Mazda.

The problems of this engine are probably overrated (but still real and potentially catastrophic). At least when it comes to Mazda 3s. The very first engines had a problem with the camshaft that was causing severe engine failures. But anything built after half of 2014 should be out of it (I don’t remember the exact date).

WOW! I don’t know if you work for Mazda but I don’t know why this false information keeps getting posted. Only the CX-50 will be built in Alabama. The CX-70/90 will be built in Japan. This has been mentioned by Mazda on many occasions. See also the 1:30 mark of this interview from last week.

2018 Mazda 3 manufactured in Japan vs Mexico. After doing research I believe 90% of 2018 Mazda 3's are manufactured in Mexico (VIN starts with a "3" vs "J"). The dealer with Japan manufactured Mazda is 2 hours away whereas the one from Mexico is 30 minutes away. The price difference is about $400, Japanese VIN cost a bit more although I think I ...

They're made in both Mexico and Japan. For the 22 model year the first half of the 22 models were made in japan and the second half in Mexico. That's what I was told by my dealer. But all the turbo models come from Japan. so if you're getting a 23 model year. Chances are it might come from Japan. Reply reply.
