The Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) is a private hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. Established in 1985, it is the primary teaching hospital of the Aga Khan University's (AKU) Faculty of Health Sciences. The hospital provides secondary and tertiary care, including diagnosis of disease and team management of patient care.
The hospital was constructed in the early 1970s [4] and serves the residents of northern part of the city (Nazimabad, North Nazimabad, North Karachi, F. B. Area, Orangi Town etc.) with an estimated population of nearly 1 million. It is the Karachi's 3rd largest government hospital after Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) and Civil Hospital.
