The City of Northglenn is a home rule municipality located in Adams and Weld counties, Colorado, United States. Northglenn is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2020 census the city's population was 38,131. [6] It was built as a master planned community in 1959 by Jordon Perlmutter. [8]
Standley Lake is a 1,200-acre (4.9 km 2) reservoir located in Westminster, Colorado.While originally constructed to provide water for the agricultural irrigation of the surrounding region northwest of Denver, it now serves primarily as the municipal water supply for the cities of Westminster, Northglenn, and Thornton.
Its topography consists of plains in the city center with hilly areas to the north, west, and south. It is the only state capital in the United States that is a consolidated city-county.
