Brown Estate Vineyards was founded in 1995 by siblings Deneen, David and Coral Brown. The Vineyard produced its first Napa Valley Zinfandel in 1996; this was after the family had been farming grapes and selling them to established winemakers. Black Star is a brand of cider produced in Bedford, England by Brookfield Drinks Ltd., the same company which produces White Star cider. It was introduced in 2015, and has an alcohol content of 7.5% abv. [1] [2] It is available throughout the UK in independent and convenience stores in 500 ml cans.
The winery was founded by Leo Star and run by the Star family since 1927. The Manischewitz winery is best known for its budget concord wine, which is widely available in much of North America. [23] Made from labrusca grapes, it is combined with a large amount of residual sugar. [24]
