Valley is a city in Douglas County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 3,037 at the 2020 census. [3] Valley is also home to the area's National Weather Service office, serving portions of eastern Nebraska and southwestern Iowa.

The McCook Daily Gazette is a newspaper published in the city of McCook, in the southwestern part of the state of Nebraska, in the Great Plains region of the United States. It serves southwestern Nebraska and northwestern Kansas. The newspaper is issued five days a week, Monday through Friday afternoons. As of 2011, it had a circulation of 4,564.
In May 2021, Mullen purchased Idaho based newspaper St. Maries Gazette Record that covers news, sports, and events in the local area. St. Maries Gazette Record was founded in 1902, and before its acquisition, it was operated by Hammes Family from 1958 to 2021. [1]
The paper was established as the Saunders County Reporter in 1878 by J.F. Ritchhart. [2] [3] In 1881, it was purchased by T.J. Pickett, Jr. and renamed to Ashland Gazette.[4] [5] The Ashland Gazette is considered the oldest newspaper and oldest business in Saunders County, Nebraska.
