  3. 2023 Bear Adapt (plus) - Archery Talk Forum

    www.archerytalk.com/threads/2023-bear-adapt-plus.6198264

I recently picked up an Adapt Plus and I am very happy with it. I shot the original Adapt, and was not impressed as the cable slider really made the bow feel kinda stiff for a single cam. The new roller cable guide definitely makes the bow much smoother. The Hotwire sight is totally usable, but I swapped it out, and really most of the other parts.

  5. Best Compound Bow For Beginners (Top Archery Hunting Bows)

    archerytopic.com/best-compound-bow-for-beginners

For instance, a compound bow with a draw weight of 70 pounds with a let-off value of 70% will require just 21 pounds for pulling its string. What is the average let off on a compound bow? Hunting compound bows generally have a let off of 75 to 85%, so if you want to work up to hunting with a beginner bow, look at a let off of at least 75%.

  6. My 2024 Bow Comparison - Archery Talk Forum

I personally dislike the way the riser looks, with the cams darn near touching the riser. It shot ok, but at the price if you want light, pick up last year's Levitate for the exact same money. Not a fan of the Mathews grip. Its a quality bow, but didn't take me long to set it to the side. RX8 The features on this bow really drew my attention.

  8. Mission Switch - any recent feedback? or something different?

    www.archerytalk.com/threads/mission-switch-any-recent-feedback-or-something...

Looking at getting a Mission Switch as my first compound bow solely for 3D/target use no hunting. Coming from traditional/recurve, seems like a good option for the price until new flagships are released this fall. Then will likely hand down the Switch to family or sell it to get a new flagship. Anyone with the Switch mind sharing how they like it?

  11. Any thoughts on the Cabelas brand bows? | Archery Talk Forum

Anyways, this made me decide to finally give left handed shooting with a bow a try, but I didn't want to spend a ton on it just yet. I happened to come across a LH Cabelas Dash bow with the tags still on it (never used) for $99 and decided to buy it. If I adjust well to shooting left handed, I may get another bow later.
