George William Taylor (March 31, 1855 – January 27, 1931) was an American businessman and Republican politician. He was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly , representing Marinette County in the 1895 and 1897 sessions.

Bovay was a Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly in 1859 and 1860 and represented the first district of Fond du Lac County. [6] In the American Civil War, he served as major of the 19th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment from 1861 to 1865. After the Civil War, Bovay again took up the practice of law.
