Kilchoman distillery (pronounced Kil-ho-man) [1] is a distillery that produces single malt Scotch whisky on Islay, an island of the Inner Hebrides. Kilchoman Distillery is in the northwest of the island, close to Machir Bay. Kilchoman was founded by Anthony Wills and remains an independent, family run distillery.
The whisky is distilled in copper pot stills and is matured at the distillery on Raasay in a variety of oak casks. The distillery will produce approximately 200,000 litres of pure alcohol per year. [7] The distillery's flagship brand is Isle of Raasay Single Malt Scotch Whisky released since 2020.
There is a shop/post office located in Inverarish. Accommodation is available in the old manor of Raasay House, and at various B&Bs. There are significant numbers of incomers and holiday homes especially in the south of the island. This has helped to arrest the population decline from over 900 in 1803 to 194 in 2001.

[12] The distillery also have a number of distillery exclusive whiskies that often feature as a single cask release, or, a promotional 'fill your own bottle' that, as of October 2024, is a 7 Year matured STR cask.
