The word "rebirth" tends to make people think that this mantra is only about "being reborn", and that it can only serve the particular purpose of going to the Pure Land. However, another positive and important function and meaning of this mantra is the "pulling out the fundamental cause of karmic obstacles".
The Shehecheyanu berakhah (blessing) (Hebrew: ברכת שהחיינו, "Who has given us life") is a common Jewish prayer to celebrate special occasions. It expresses gratitude to God for new and unusual experiences or possessions. [1] The blessing was recorded in the Talmud [2] over 1500 years ago.
Rebirth is regarded as an ongoing process to be escaped from in the search for liberation. Rebirth is determined by one's own mind, particularly one's ethical choices. The practice of Buddhism aims at ending rebirth. According to Bhikkhu Anālayo, the Buddhist teaching of Dependent Origination is closely connected with the doctrine of rebirth.
Īxpoztequeh, god who lived in one of nine layers of the underworld. Iixpuzteque was Nexoxochi's husband. Tzontēmōc, god who lived in one of nine layers of the underworld. Tzontemoc was Chalmeccacihuatl's husband. Xolotl, god of death who is associated with Venus and the Evening Star. He is the twin god and a double of Quetzalcoatl.
The Shehecheyanu blessing is not recited. There is no obligation to say Birkat Hachama: it is an opportunistic blessing recited only if one happens to see the sun in this state; such blessings (another example is the annual blessing upon seeing flowering fruit trees in Nisan) receive no Shehecheyanu.
The rites and prayers in the Blessing Way are concerned with healing, creation, harmony and peace. The song cycles recount the elaborate Navajo creation story (Diné Bahaneʼ). One of the most important Blessing Way rites is the Kinaaldá ceremony, in which a young girl makes the transition to womanhood upon her menarche. [1]
