Angel is an American rock band from Washington, D.C., formed in the mid-1970s by Punky Meadows, Mickey Jones, and Gregg Giuffria. They were primarily known for their flamboyant glam stage presence and white satin outfits.
The band name was intended to convey the literal meaning — a small band of leather — though Larsen has been guarded as to the reason. During some early shows, the racy implications of the name "strip" led some to believe that his act was explicitly pornographic to the point where one show was scouted by a pornographic magazine. [4]

The band also shot a promotional video for the song "Behind The Gun" with director Karpis Maksudian. Former Leatherwolf (Hail Mary and Shotgun Messiah) member Patrick Guyton took over on bass for the band's ProgPower USA festival appearance in Atlanta, Georgia, in late 2006. [7] Guyton has remained as full time bassist to date.

Leather Charm was formed in June 1981 following the demise of Phantom Lord, a garage band featuring James Hetfield and guitarist Hugh Tanner. At the time, Hetfield was living with an older brother in Brea, California and attending Brea Olinda High School after the unforeseen death of his mother. [ 2 ]
