Sheboygan (/ ʃ ɪ ˈ b ɔɪ ɡ ə n / ⓘ) is a city in and the county seat of Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, United States. [7] The population was 49,929 at the 2020 census. It is the principal city of the Sheboygan metropolitan area, which has a population of 118,034.

The Sheboygan Indian Mound Park is a public park in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Its main attraction is 18 Indian burial mounds [ 1 ] distributed over 15 acres. The Kletzien Mound Group, located within the park, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. [ 2 ]
This block within a bend of the Sheboygan River was once the first permanent settlement in Sheboygan County, clustered around a mill. [19] It consists of the 1837 Mill House, [ 20 ] the 1842 Charles Cole home, the 1846 Cole Brothers house, [ 21 ] the 1846 Thorp Hotel, [ 22 ] and the 1848 Cole Store [ 23 ] - all in Greek Revival style.

Blue Harbor Resort is located on Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Sheboygan River on the C. Reiss Coal Peninsula. The peninsula had formerly been used for coal storage. The property was razed and was developed into the South Pier District.
