    The station build by M.L. (Mel) Gleason, a Nebraska radio station owner who had also built KAWL in York, NE in 1954. The original station studio and transmitter building 2 miles West of Wayne on 574th Avenue remains in use today. According to Broadcasting Yearbook archives, KTCH was purchased by Wyman and Wilma Schnapp March 1, 1971.
