Ferry trip from Fajardo to Vieques, Puerto Rico. The Vieques Ferry or Lancha de Vieques, is a ferry system that carries passengers and cargo from Ceiba, Puerto Rico to Vieques, Puerto Rico and vice versa, both complementing and competing with commercial air service available from San Juan, Puerto Rico to the island of Vieques.
The group also owns Xel-Ha Park and Xenses Park, as well as the Xichen, Xenotes, Xavage, and Xoximilco tours and activities. Xplor is situated approximately 75 kilometres (47 mi) south of Cancún , and 6.5 kilometres (4 mi) south of the nearest large settlement, Playa del Carmen , along Highway 307 .
This was made mostly to enhance service between Culebra, Fajardo and Vieques. On September 19, 2023, it was announced that the Puerto Rican government had signed contracts worth $70 million dollars with the Conrad Shipyards company to build new ships for the services to Culebra and to Vieques. [1]

The theme park was founded in 1984, [3] and is under the management and marketing of the Mexican-owned Experiencias Xcaret Group. [4]The park is centered around the natural inlet and lagoon, which is promoted as one of the main attractions of the park that forms with the flow of the river through rocks mixing salty waters with fresh underground water currents.
It is one of the three bio bays in Puerto Rico; the other two are Laguna Grande in Fajardo and La Parguera in Lajas. [8] The bay and its surrounding mangrove forest are protected by the Vieques Bioluminescent Bay Natural Reserve and no swimming is allowed. Guided tours allow visitors to kayak in the bay and observe the bioluminescence. [9]
