Gaudete Sunday (/ ɡ aʊ ˈ d ɛ t ɛ / gow-DET-eh) is the third Sunday of Advent in the liturgical calendar of Western Christianity, including the Roman Catholic Church, the Anglican Communion, Lutheran churches, and other mainline Protestant churches.
