Urban Legends is a Canadian documentary-style television series hosted by Michael Allcock with David Hewlett became the new host in 2011. In each episode, three urban legends are dramatized and presented to the television audience; the audience is then asked to speculate which one or two of the three is true.
It is an animated show about urban legends hosted by two animatronic puppets, Larry de Bug, a cockroach, (voiced by James Rankin) and his gooey sidekick, Maurice the maggot (voiced by Dan Redican) in Ted's Diner - a 1940s-era diner setting staffed by Rosie the waitress (voiced by Jayne Eastwood, but never seen - season 1 only).
A number of ghost stories and urban legends have become associated with the road, including the fictional deaths of a troop of Boy Scouts. The area has been the subject of several paranormal investigations, and has been a 'haunt' for local youths. However, there are no records of fatalities or mysterious disappearances on or around Boy Scout Lane.
Each episode features a different tale based on myths and urban legends of Japanese origin. The first season aired on TV Tokyo from July to September 2013, and ran for thirteen episodes, spawning a host of merchandise, a mobile game, while also receiving mixed reactions at the end of its broadcast.
The episode focuses on Denise 's attempt to calm The Chanels down by telling them ghost stories and urban legends, which start to become true. The episode also features the return of special guest star Nick Jonas as Boone Clemens, whose activities while being absent are revealed in this episode.

The series is hosted by Linda Blair, and narrated by Zelda Rubinstein. [1] Alan Robson acted as an on-site correspondent. [2] While the show is set in numerous locations around the world, the interstitials featuring Blair and Robson were shot in Los Angeles, California. [2] In a 2001 interview with Larry King, host Blair explained the series:
Based on the episode "Dream Weaver", Tilly hosts her talk show by interviewing Disney Channel stars. As stated in the Ariel Martin episode and in between commercials promoting Big City Greens "back-to-back" weeknights for the month of May, these take place within Tilly's dreams and are considered "not canon" with the rest of the series.
