The Musée des Arts et Métiers (French pronunciation: [myze dez‿aʁ e metje]; English: Museum of Arts and Crafts) is an industrial design museum in Paris that houses the collection of the Conservatoire national des arts et métiers, which was founded in 1794 as a repository for the preservation of scientific instruments and inventions.
The museum collection was founded in 1905 by members of the Union des Arts décoratifs ("Union of Decorative Arts"). The architect was Gaston Redon. It houses and displays furniture, interior design, altarpieces, religious paintings, objets d'arts, tapestries, wallpaper, ceramics and glassware, plus toys from the Middle Ages to the present day.

The Petit Palais (French: [pəti palɛ]; English: Small Palace) is an art museum in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, France.. Built for the 1900 Exposition Universelle ("universal exhibition"), it now houses the City of Paris Museum of Fine Arts (Musée des beaux-arts de la ville de Paris).
Another annual art event held in Paris is the Art Paris Art Fair. During 2013, the fair attracted more visitors than in the previous year, when 1500 artists (43% from foreign countries) participated. The fair had 57% of French galleries and 52% new galleries.
Originally from Germany, she studied art history at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. After completing her thesis in 1999, she was appointed curator at the Kunsthalle Bielefeld in Germany, where she organized several exhibitions. She was appointed Curator of Modern Art at the Centre Pompidou in 2005. [2]
