The Bellarine Peninsula (Wadawurrung: Balla-wein or Biteyong) [1] is a peninsula located south-west of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia, surrounded by Port Phillip, Corio Bay and Bass Strait. The peninsula, together with the Mornington Peninsula , separates Port Phillip Bay from Bass Strait .

[10] Bellarine Post Office closed on 27 April 1979, and Bellarine Primary School has also closed; its closure date is unknown, but the site has been subdivided and sold.
