The first municipal building in Mold was the Leete Hall which was built on the corner of the High Street and New Street and was completed in 1470. [2] After the Leete Hall became dilapidated, it was demolished and replaced by the Assembly Rooms which were designed by Alfred Lockwood in the neoclassical style and completed in 1849. [2]
