Rockport is a city and county seat of Aransas County, Texas, United States. The population was 10,070 at the 2020 census . Rockport is adjacent to the town of Fulton , and many refer to the combined communities as "Rockport-Fulton"; however, Rockport and Fulton are legally separate municipalities.

The cities of Rockport and Fulton on the main Aransas Bay are located only a few miles away, and the bay is usually considered a part of the collective Rockport-Fulton area. The bay is roughly 150 miles (240 km) southeast of San Antonio and about 40 miles (64 km) northeast of Corpus Christi .
The T. H. Mathis House, at 612 Church St. in Rockport, Texas, is a historic Greek Revival-style house built in 1867. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. [1] It is a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark. The residence was long owned by the same family.

Lamar is a small, unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Aransas County, Texas, United States, 10 miles (16 km) north of Rockport and 40 miles (64 km) north of Corpus Christi. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 636. [1] The community was named for Mirabeau B. Lamar, the second president of the Republic of Texas.
