ESCP Business School (French: École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris; English: Paris 1st School of Business) is a French business school and grande école founded in Paris and based across Europe with campuses in Paris, Berlin, London, Madrid, Turin, and Warsaw. Established in 1819, it is considered the world's oldest business school. [4]
In most instances, such a school is a private Grande École de Commerce (an elite business school) operated by a local chamber of commerce and industry, also abbreviated as Sup de Co'. Grande Écoles de Commerce are traditionally known for producing many, if not most, of the leading French business executives and government officials.

HEC Paris is part of the network of graduate schools of business (ESC) in the Paris Île-de-France area, together with ESSEC and ESCP Business School. In 2016, the school adopted a new legal status and became a public-private partnership (École consulaire or EESC), largely financed by the public Chamber of Commerce in Paris. [15]
École supérieure de design is located in the former Saint-Martin-ès-Aires Abbey. In the 1960s, the École de commerce et de gestion (ECG) was established.. In 1992, the ECG was transformed into a Business School, with the sponsorship of HEC, ESCP Business School, Danone and KPMG.
The school reached the level of older French business schools. It obtained authorization to issue a state recognised diploma in 1980.
