Susan Dent MBE (born November 1964) [2] is an English lexicographer, etymologist and media personality. She has appeared in "Dictionary Corner" on the Channel 4 game show Countdown since 1992. She also appears on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown , a post- watershed comedy version of the show.
Susie Dent and Rachel Riley fill their normal roles. It uses similar rules to the standard game, but has a strong comedy element, a reduced amount of rounds and is two against two. It began in 2012 and continues airing new episodes; as of 6 January 2023, 152 episodes of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown have aired.
