Operated by Metro Transit in a shared fare system with MetroBus, [9] the two-line, 38-station system runs from St. Louis Lambert International Airport and Shrewsbury in Missouri to Scott Air Force Base in Illinois.
After St. Louis County voters defeated Proposition M in 2008, Metro shelved all expansion plans and was forced to cut 24 Missouri bus routes. [ 15 ] [ 16 ] In 2010, County voters passed Proposition A, a half cent sales tax increase, to restore service cuts and fund system expansion under the banner of Moving Transit Forward.
Brentwood I-64 station is a light rail station on the Blue Line of the St. Louis MetroLink system. [5] This below-grade station is located near Eager Road in Brentwood, Missouri, just southeast of the Interstate 64/Interstate 170 interchange. The station includes 918 park and ride spaces and 22 long-term spaces in the neighboring Brentwood Garage.

[5] This at-grade station is located in the former 5th Street right-of-way between Broadway and Missouri Avenue in downtown East St. Louis, Illinois. The station also serves as a MetroBus transfer and features 322 park and ride spaces.
