On 1 June, the Volta region in Ghana confirmed 40 more COVID-19 cases which increased the regions number from 44 to 84. At first, the number of the cases moved from 44 to 59, then to 71 in the middle of the week and to 84 during the weekend. The number of recoveries in the region increased from 28 to 35 by the weekend.
