The Fair Food Program (FFP) is a partnership between growers, farmworkers, and food company buyers to improve conditions for farmworkers. [1] [2] It was launched by the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW), a worker-based human rights organization in Immokalee, Florida in 2011.
In November 2010, an agreement was reached between the CIW and the Florida Tomato Growers Exchange to implement the Fair Food Program – "including a strict code of conduct, a cooperative complaint resolution system, a participatory health and safety program, and a worker-to-worker education process – to over 90% of the Florida tomato industry".
