He probably means "actual" trailer tires .... not light truck tires or bias ply trailer tires. Maybe something like a 8ply steel belted radial ST tire with a load range D designation. 08-03-2017, 04:50 AM #9
Boat Trailer Tires I'm having a time finding a cheap pair of 5.70-8 boat trailer tires here in the Metro St. Louis area. The main problem is that I don't want to buy a new rim along with the tires.
Cupping means the outside edge of the tread on both tires looks like someone took a chunk of rubber out about every 2 or 3 inch around the entire diameter of the tire. I had the trailer tires balanced the day I bought the trailer with less than 100 miles on them. I would like to get USA made tires in 215/ 75 r 14 ST. Any suggestions?
Boat Trailer Axle Alignment. I need some advice on my boat trailer. I have a '96 Ez Loader trailer with a single axle. As you can tell from the picture below, it seems over time the trailer axle has bent and needs to be straightened back out. I constantly check the air pressure, so know it is not the tires.
I run the Tireminder off of Amazon, they work pretty well, I pull one of two boats behind my 5th wheel and have experienced a few failures of the Chinese bomb tires the past few years. My only real complaint is that I have to reprogram for each configuration, ie 2 axle 5th wheel, or 5th wheel and single axle river boat or 5th wheel 2 axel lake ...
2016 EZ Trac trailer model 2072 3500 pound rating. I have a single axle, 3500 pound rated EZ Trac boat trailer for sale. I bought it in November of 2015 with my Excel Bay Pro 203 boat from Big River Marine. It is a steel tube trailer with swing-away tongue and ratchet transom tie-downs. The Goodyear 205/75r/14 trailer tires have very few miles ...
A good Brother is nice to have. Well friends, this little post is to thank my younger brother. He helped me out of a serious problem with my old boat trailer. A couple years ago I inadvertently broke my trailer after dropping off the end of a ramp during winter pool. I was able to get the boat and now broken trailer home.
I was looking at my boat trailer tires last night. I noticed that they are going bald. some in worse locations that other's. The search was on for tires, I had IM'd rich on his opinion, and thought, I would post what I found here for every one else. in the Michigan-sportsman.com forums there is a section and the consensus there was for Goodyear ...
9,770. Post Thanks / Like. Yep, Because of the bulk of the tires, as well as materials some rims are made of, it's getting to be quite common for tire mounting shops to put the balancing material in side the tire. I.e. plastic beads, sand like material in a thin plastic baggie. theory being as the wheel turns faster the material is slung to the ...
I absolutely wrecked the original trailer tires in less than a couple thousand miles but I blamed that on the junk Chinese tires that came on it. I have Goodyear trailer radials on it now. My dream would be to have the $$ to put the boat on a new dual axle trailer and build a garage I could back the whole rig into, crank the hitch off the hitch ...
