The University of Wisconsin–Stout (UW–Stout or Stout) is a public university in Menomonie, Wisconsin, United States. The polytechnic university of the University of Wisconsin System, [3] it enrolls more than 6,900 students. [4] The school was founded in 1891 and named in honor of its founder, lumber magnate James Huff Stout.

The stadium is named in honor of Don Williams, a former member of the UW–Stout Board of Directors, and his wife, Nona. The couple made a significant contribution towards the construction of the stadium. The UW–Stout football team played its home games at Nelson Field on the UW–Stout campus through the beginning of the 2001 season.
