The mall was built in 1986 as Manufacturer's Marketplace/Prime Outlets at Birch Run. [3] In 2010, the mall was bought by Simon Property Group's Premium Outlet division and renamed Birch Run Premium Outlets. [4] The mall's busiest months are August and December, the former due to back-to-school shopping and vacationing travelers. [5]

Ross Park Mall is a shopping mall located in Ross Township, Pennsylvania, north of Pittsburgh.The mall features JCPenney, Macy's, Nordstrom and Dick's House of Sport.. With 170 stores, Ross Park Mall is currently the sixth-largest shopping mall in Pennsylvania.
A number of hotels are adjacent to the center. [8] In late August 2010, the center was acquired by Simon Property Group's Premium Outlet sector along with the majority of the Prime Outlet centers. It was then renamed Grove City Premium Outlets in September 2010. [9]
In 1986, the Gimbels store was converted to Stern's after Allied Stores purchased seven Gimbels locations in the Philadelphia area. [5] That same year, Bamberger's became Macy's. [6] In 1989, Sears replaced Stern's after the latter closed several stores in the Philadelphia area. [7] The mall underwent a renovation in 1990. [8]
The size of the mall was then 616,460 square feet (57,271 m 2) of gross leasable area with the anchor stores being Burlington Coat Factory, Kohl's, Shop 'n Save, Best Buy and Staples. [1] Other stores in the mall included Taco Bell , Applebee's , Duro Cleaners and Millennium Oriental Buffet and 10 smaller stores. [ 1 ]
