Waterloo State Recreation Area: the only State Park in Jackson County. It covers about 21,000-acre (85 km 2); it is also the largest State Park in the Lower Peninsula and the third largest in Michigan. The area contains 17 lakes, many ponds and streams, and numerous woods. They have RV or tent camping there.

[ 5 ] Located along Interstate 94 and U.S. Route 127 , it is approximately 65 miles (105 km) east of Kalamazoo , 75 miles (121 km) west of Detroit and 35 miles (56 km) south of Lansing .
U.S. Route 127 follows the western border of the township and leads north 10 miles (16 km) to Jackson, the county seat, and south 19 miles (31 km) to Hudson. M-50 runs through the eastern side of the township and the village of Brooklyn, leading northwest 14 miles (23 km) to Jackson and southeast 19 miles (31 km) to Tecumseh .
