It is located in the Blacksmith Fork Canyon, about 15 mi (24 km) east of Hyrum, Utah. Rocky Mountain elk are fed here through the winter to prevent them from coming to inhabited areas further down the canyon in search of food. Horse-drawn sleigh rides and a visitor center are offered from mid December to February.
Sleigh and trolley rides by South Creek Clydesdales will be offered from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 26 through Dec. 31. The sleigh can fit four people and the trolley can fit 16 to 18 people.

The park would be used if Salt Lake City won its bid for either the 1998 or 2002 Winter Olympics and following the games, Olympic funds and revenue would then be used to repay the state. In 1990, the Utah Sports Authority announced their plans to build the park, which included ski jumps and a bobsled/luge track, in Bear Hollow near Park City.
