With a piece of scrap plywood, some 1x2 lumber and a foam cutting heater wire from Amazon, I made a hot wire jig fixture to cut the foam after I trace the outline onto the foam.

    Posted February 9. Does anyone have any experience with the CED waterproof PCC / Rifle Case? I need to replace an old Pelican case that is no longer viable for air travel. CED/DAA has a sale on these right now. I only fly with a long gun two or three times a year and was hoping this would be a good option. I don't need help picking a new Pelican.

    And wished them good night. . . . They did shift into high gear looking for the case now. (This is where the photo of my Pelican case came in handy) I did call the ATF and they gave me the form to download & start filling out and told me to call in the morning. I went back into the terminal and hid in the bar & 5 hours later my case arrived. .

    This is a cz455 in a pelican 3300. This is an early case I did before I knew some of the things I know now. It is open cell foam This case was cut with a knife and it looks like it. I need to re-cut foam for this case. It is ugly. Notice the 10 round mags standing up in the case instead of laying down. they take up much less room!

    this is 3 audubon prints 2 of which are from the milwaukee public library edition and the pelican is from the collection of the northwestern mutual life insurance company, all done during the 1950's. the prints are in good condition with some fading to the paper and there is a stain on the pelican print as seen in the close-up photo.
