  2. My review of Omnipod 5 - Treatment - FUDiabetes

    forum.fudiabetes.org/t/my-review-of-omnipod-5

I started with Omnipod 5 about two weeks ago. It was a bit of a rough start for my first few pods but now that I’ve got things figured out I am loving it. As soon as I switched from Novolog to Fiasp I got better results. Here is my graph of the past 24 hours, range 70-150: IMG_2036872×300 16.9 KB. IMG_2038604×868 176 KB.

  3. Omnipod 5 review from Integrated Diabetes Services

John58 August 27, 2022, 5:31pm 3. Thats a good review, thanks! One of the highlights for me: “…the CGM signal, receiver and computer algorithm are embedded in the pods themselves. There is no need to have the controller at your side 24 hours a day; the pod will self-adjust basal delivery on its own. The pod will beep if there is a problem ...

  4. Mobi vs Omnipod 5 on Medicare - Pump - FUDiabetes

    forum.fudiabetes.org/t/mobi-vs-omnipod-5-on-medicare/14479

Verdict: Neutral. (2) The medicare issue: Omnipod (and its insulin) is only covered via Part D which means a copay of over $200 per month for me. A tubed pump and its insulin would hopefully be entirely Part B which I have a good supplement for, bringing the copay to zero. Verdict: Pro Mobi. (3) No pdm with Mobi: I prefer having a stand alone ...

Tandem tslim vs Omnipod 5. Type 1 & LADA. omnipod. Hammer August 16, 2022, 4:48am 1. I have been reading about people with the O5 and some of their issues so far. I am confident that I can overcome almost everything that I have read so far. My Tandem tslim is out of warranty, and my new insurance provider does NOT cover tandem pump supplies!

So the Omnipod is the G6 receiver and it communicates all the data to either the PDM or the phone app. Neither slot is used; neither the phone app nor the PDM talk to the G6. @John58 or @bpollina might know more; the Omnipod is using one of the slots. Possibly the instructions say not to connect a G6 receiver; that would be a clue.

  8. Tandem sport vs Omnipod - Type 1 & LADA - FUDiabetes

    forum.fudiabetes.org/t/tandem-sport-vs-omnipod/14687

Type 1 & LADA. bas May 27, 2024, 9:53pm 1. Hello, I am new to this forum and hope to find some information and opinions. I have used the Omnipod pump for many years and am now on the Omnipod 5. My endo said that the Tandem closed loop algorithm is better than the Omnipod. What originally drew me to Omnipod was the tubeless aspect.

With the old pen there was also the strips and lance, so a necessity but now sort of unneeded with the latest Dexcom (sigh-still have to hand enter). Michel April 2, 2020, 2:37am 13.

  11. Very high copay for Omnipod 5? - Type 1 & LADA - FUDiabetes

    forum.fudiabetes.org/t/very-high-copay-for-omnipod-5/13751

omnipod. bwschulz April 9, 2023, 6:35pm 1. We recently ordered the free month trial of the Omnipod 5 and the pharmacy told us that our copay for the pods was going to be well over $1k for 90 days of pod supplies. This seems unusually high given that our insurance is pretty good and our copays for insulin and Dexcom G6 sensors and transmitters ...
