Aurèlia Muñoz (1926–2011) was a Spanish textile artist. She is known for her tapestries and fiber sculptures. Muñoz was born in 1926 in Barcelona. [1] She attended the Escola Massana, Centre d'Art i Disseny. [2] She was part of the new era of textile art in the 1960s and 1970s. [3] [4]

Martina Castells Ballespí, also known as Martina Castells i Ballespí (1852–1884), was one of the first Spanish women to earn a PhD in medicine. [1] She earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1874, and earned her PhD in 1882. [1] [2] [3] In her thesis she supported physical, moral and intellectual education for women. [3]
