Danmark Rundt is a Danish multi-day professional road cycling race. It is currently sponsored by the Danish national postal agency, PostNord, and the race is therefore also known as PostNord Danmark Rundt. [1] The race is sometimes called the Tour of Denmark in English language media.
The Danish National Cycle Routes (Danish: Danmarks nationale cykelruter) together form the national cycling route network of Denmark. There are currently 11 such long-distance cycling routes across Denmark largely established mainly to promote bicycle tourism. There are over 10,000 kilometres (6,200 mi) of marked bicycle routes in Denmark.
The 2023 Danmark Rundt (officially PostNord Danmark Rundt 2023 for sponsorship reasons) was a men's road bicycle race which was held from 15 to 19 August 2023. It is the 32nd edition of Danmark Rundt, which was rated as a 2.Pro event on the 2023 UCI ProSeries calendar.
The 2024 Danmark Rundt (officially PostNord Danmark Rundt 2024 for sponsorship reasons) was the 33rd edition of the Danmark Rundt road cycling stage race, which is the part of the 2024 UCI ProSeries. It began on the 14th of August in Holstebro and finished on the 18th of August in Gladsaxe .
Cycling is integrated into both the national, the regional and the local train services in Denmark.Cycles are permitted on trains to facilitate mixed-mode commuting.This is most visible in the urban and suburban rail network of Metropolitan Copenhagen, the S-trains, where cycles can be transported in specified carriages found at the front and rear of each train.
The Copenhagen Sprint will be one-day cycle races for men and women in Denmark, held part of the UCI World Tour and UCI Women's World Tour.The race will be held in Zealand, the most populous island of Denmark – with a finish in Copenhagen.
