Blood is the fourth studio album by American rock band In This Moment, released on August 14, 2012, by Century Media Records. [2] As has been the case with every In This Moment album, the record has a different sound, dropping many of the traditional metalcore elements in favor of electronic samples and further experimentation.
The band's third album, A Star-Crossed Wasteland was released in 2010, and their fourth album titled Blood was released in August 2012 and debuted at number 15. Their fifth album titled Black Widow was released in November 2014 and debuted at number 8, their highest position in the charts to date.

'Blood' was one of the first two songs written for the upcoming album. It was written by bandmates Maria Brink and Chris Howorth along with longtime producer Kevin Churko and his son Kane. The song features Brink's intense vocals, heavy guitars and Electronica elements which gives the band a fresh new sound.
