Lainey Denay Wilson (born May 19, 1992) [1] is an American country singer-songwriter. She performed at an early age, before going to Nashville, Tennessee , to pursue a career as a country performer. In 2014, she released her first album on Cupit, followed by a second on Lone Chief in 2016.
In 1997, she was nominated for Top New Female Vocalist at the Academy of Country Music Awards, but lost to LeAnn Rimes. The next year, McCready released the album If I Don't Stay the Night. The album spawned three singles, "What If I Do", "The Other Side of This Kiss", and "You'll Never Know". The album sold 825,000 copies. [7]
