North Berkeley station is an underground Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station located in the North Berkeley neighborhood of Berkeley, California. It is bounded by Virginia Street, Sacramento Street, Delaware Street, and Acton Street in a residential area north of University Avenue .
North Berkeley is an unincorporated community in Morgan County in the U.S. state of West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle. The community lies between the Town of Bath (Berkeley Springs) limits and Jimtown. Like Jimtown, North Berkeley does not lie within the limits of Berkeley Springs proper, but it is generally considered a neighborhood of the town.
Embarcadero opened as an infill station in 1976, and direct Richmond–Daly City service began operating that year. [4] The Yellow Line was extended to North Concord/ Martinez in 1995, and to Colma and Pittsburg/ Bay Point in 1996. BART's fifth route, the Blue Line, began service with a new branch to Dublin/ Pleasanton in 1997.
The Silicon Valley BART Extension, managed by the VTA, is a 6-mile extension of BART service to San Jose and Santa Clara in Santa Clara County. Phase I was completed with the opening of the Berryessa/North San José station in 2020, which is the first BART station in San Jose.
