French Polynesia (/ ˌ p ɒ l ɪ ˈ n iː ʒ ə / ⓘ POL-ih-NEE-zhə; French: Polynésie française [pɔlinezi fʁɑ̃sɛːz] ⓘ; Tahitian: Pōrīnetia Farāni) is an overseas collectivity of France and its sole overseas country.
