Leonard C. Lewin (October 2, 1916 – January 28, 1999) [1] was an American writer, best known as the author of the bestseller The Report from Iron Mountain (1967). He also wrote Triage (1972), a novel about a covert group dedicated to killing people it considers to be not worth having around.
He was born in Iron Mountain, a small mining town in Michigan's upper peninsula (on the Wisconsin border) and entered Marquette in the fall of 1929, following his two brothers Anthony and David Ronzani of a first generation Italian family. Gene went out for freshman football, track and basketball and made all three varsity teams his sophomore year.

The Ardis Furnace is an abandoned experimental blast furnace located at the northeast corner of Aragon and Antoine Streets (accessible from US-2) in Iron Mountain, Michigan, United States. The Ardis Furnace was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1971 and placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
Frigo was born on July 3, 1931, to Pasquale Frigo and Camilla née Rocheleau Frigo in Pound, Wisconsin. [1] His father established the Frigo Brothers cheese company of Iron Mountain together with his four brothers in 1939. [2]
