The National Science and Maths Quiz is an annual science and mathematics content-based national level quiz competition for senior high schools in Ghana.The yearly competition is been produced by Primetime Limited, an education-interest advertising and public relations agency, since 1993.

National Maths and Science Quiz [ edit ] In July 2024, the school qualified to the national preliminaries of the National Science and Maths Quiz and also advanced to the next stage of the Eastern Regional Championship after beating Krobo Girls SHS , St. Roses' SHS , and Boso SHTS [ 13 ]
In 2002, at the National Constitution Quiz organized by the National Commission for Civic Education, PRESEC Civic Education Club emerged winners of the competition. [21] In 2003, PRESEC repeated the feat of 1995 by defeating Opoku Ware School in the National Science and Maths Quiz competition.
In 2019, the school beat Armed Forces Senior High School and New Juaben Senior High School in the Ghana National Science and Maths Quiz, which qualified them to the quarter-finals in 2019. During the third term of the 1986/87 academic year, Mr. A. E. Kyere (a.k.a. Kontonkyi) assumed duty as the third Headmaster of the school. It was under him that the school improved academically. In 1999, the school was for the first time, invited to take part in the National Science and Maths Quiz Competitions.

The college won the finals of the 2019 edition of the Ghana National Science and Maths Quiz. This was the second time the college had emerged winners of the competition, after having won it for the first time in 2007. Also in 2007, St. Augustine's College won the first and only edition of the West African Science and Math Quiz competition.
